After a long and dark winter, is there anything better than seeing stunning blooms emerging from tired landscapes. Spring flowers not only bring joy, but also serve as important pollinators, giving nature a helping hand to come back to life after the colder months. Daffodils  

As probably the most well-known bloom in the UK in the spring, daffodils are hardy flowers that add a vibrant hue to arrangements. Able to withstand early-year frosts, these cheery plants represent hope and renewals.

Hyacinth

Available in a selection of colour-ways, hyacinths are also ideal to buy in spring as they are one of the first floral crops to grow which offer a strong fragrance.

Tulips

In our opinion, no spring bouquet would be complete without tulips which are arguably one of the most iconic blooms at this time of year. They not only add beauty with their delegate and elegant oval petals, but the broad selection of available colours mean bright spring displays can be designed.

Reticulata Iris

Although many types of iris are known for blooming in the summer, the reticulate thrives in early spring. With their purple, blue, and yellow hues, these delicate flowers are perfect for selecting for bountiful arrangements.

Heather

Heather’s are also an early-spring bloomer and thanks to their dense and impactful design, are ideal for including as filler blooms in seasonal arrangements.

Alliums

The distinct shape and size of alliums also makes them ideal to enjoy in the spring. These balloon-like blooms can also add depth and drama to seasonal displays in later spring plus they are also known for standing proud into the summer months. 

Lily of the valley

Last but by no means least, is lily of the valley which is most famously known for its delicate scent. Sweet in smell and delicate in appearance, this seasonal staple represents humility and growth making it the perfect addition to a spring display.
